Getting to know your teacher...

     My name is Mrs. Marrinan, and I will be your guide for your 4th grade learning adventure!  I am excited to be on this journey with you.

     I have been teaching for quite a while now, even since your mom and dad were in fourth grade! In fact, a few of your parents were in my early classes, and I still remember them quite well!

     I started out teaching 5th grade, went on to teach 1st grade, then kindergarten, then 4th grade, and seem to keep rotating back and forth between upper and lower grades. I think I have finally settled into the 4th grade routine.  

       When my husband, Paul, and I started our family in Sauk Rapids many years ago, I took a break from teaching and stayed home to take care of our four children.  We still live in Sauk Rapids, but now our children are all grown and live away from home.  

        Claire and her husband, Joey, live in Minneapolis, and Tim lives in Germany. Sarah and her husband, Curt, live in Alaska, and Laura and her husband, Sam, also live in the Twin Cities.  My favorite times are when they all come home or when we get to go visit them.

        When I am not teaching, I volunteer my time with a fun program called Project ASTRIDE.  We provide recreational activities on horseback for people who have disabilities.  Our riders are both children and adults.  We have a wonderful time at the barn.

         In the snippets of time I have left, I love to just read, anything but especially fantasy, mystery, and science fiction.
